Growing up on the South Shore of Massachusetts, James’ family had up to 8 pitbull terriers at a time and James was fortunate enough to spend his childhood running through the woods with them. These formative years instilled a love for animals and their wellbeing that continues to drive him today.

After adopting a highly reactive pitbull terrier mix Remo, James found himself looking for more intensive ways to help his frightened new partner in crime. Unsuccessful training regimens with other trainers led James to Zen Dog Training where he found the tools he needed to help Remo overcome his fears after just one visit.

Inspired by his progress working to rehabilitate Remo to be less anxious, James decided to pursue his passion for animal welfare and join Zen Dog Training.

Having a decade and a half of experience in the fields of medical and real estate sales, James brings a strong work ethic and high level of professionalism to his clients as well as the dogs he has the pleasure to train.

In addition to loving dogs, James also volunteers as a foster and adoption counselor at a local small animal rescue and also serves on the Historical Commission for the city of Chelsea. He is a purple belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and an avid snowboarder.

James’ passion is in helping ‘problem’ animals of all shapes and sizes overcome their fears and live happier, more confident lives.
