My family got a 8 week old puppy a month ago and the best thing we did in prep was to get the puppy training package at Zen Dog Training.
Gordon at Zen Dog knows a ton about dogs (and people) and is easy to work with. He helped us prioritize what to focus on and showed us how to interact with the puppy in a positive way. He has simple solutions for behaviors we want to avoid and discourage.
The training gave my whole family, including my 10 year old son, confidence to manage the puppy effectively. It’s incredibly helpful to have someone show you what to do, and help you practice.
In addition to Gordon’s individual attention and expertise Zen Dog has really good written materials and a video library that we can review on our own. It was money well spent and I would highly recommend Gordon and Zen Dog!
